The future of work is the future of our society and civilisation. Effective economic policies are not enough to overcome the greatest social crisis of the postwar period and address the three major transformations of our time: digital, climate-environmental and demographic. New thinking is needed which is capable of destroying the old rhetoric. The challenge is open.
Marco Bentivogli is the current coordinator of Base Italia, General Secretary of the Italian Metalworkers' Federation (CISL) from 2014 to 2020. In 2018, he launched the "Industrial Plan for Skills Italy,” with Carlo Calenda and in the same year, the Blockchain Italy Manifesto with Massimo Chiriatti. Since January 2019, he has been a member of the Commission on Artificial Intelligence established at the Ministry of Development.
