To provide procedures and tools to learn how to verify the authenticity of the scientific information online.
The class will be given a critical reading of a news item chosen from a constantly updated list. Participants, divided into small groups, will take part in a virtual escape room, an investigation that requires increasing levels of skill. In the various stages of the game, the pupils will meet characters with different scientific knowledge (the casual observer, the expert, the scientist, the journalist, the housewife), who will express their opinions on the news. At the end of the activity, the class will have to determine whether the news is real or fake based on the information they receive and/or the tools in their possession.
