We are on the cusp of a real revolution: our digital identity will take on a central role in defining new dynamics of relationships, work, and consumption in virtual and immersive worlds, which are increasingly engaging and punctual in grasping our needs and requirements, thanks to artificial intelligence.
In order to settle into a tomorrow that is yet to be written, and not to fall into the temptation of opposing change for fear of embracing something new, we need shared definitions, data and words suitable for understanding the potential and challenges of these possible futures, of which each one of us will be not only an actor, but also a creator.
The meeting is an opportunity to delve into the characteristics and ways of exploring the metaverse and to highlight successful case studies across different business areas. And at the same time, to understand the benefits that its integration into our personal and professional life can bring.
Valeria Volponi, a professional journalist, is an adjunct professor of Visual Merchandising at the IULM University in Milan, where she also teaches In Store Communication and collaborates with Marketing courses and the Masters in International Marketing and Sales and in Retail Brand & Customer Experience Management.
She teaches Digital Marketing and Social Media Management at the Marangoni School of Fashion in Milan.
In 2022 she published the book 'Moda e Metaverso: costruire identità di marca tra NFT, communities e social commerce' for Franco Angeli and regularly gives speeches in Italian and international contexts on the topic of the metaverse supported by the publication of academic papers.
